Every picture tells a story, should be enough, an impression of what's going on in Paris this year. A Dutch photojournalist in action, he loves Paris, he keeps surprising his audience, for many years already, with his discoveries outside the trodden path. This time a more familiar theme. a free Christmas trip to this city.

Even more interesting: click on the pictures to enlarge, so much detail! Almost as good as being there. Not the output quality of my Motorola midrange smartphone, au contraire.

Thanks RA for that reminder of why we love to visit Paris at any time of the year. With the uncertainties around travel by plane or train we will not be going this year. However, we have just managed our annual flying visit with one son and grandson to Barcelona to see another son and his daughters. They have not seen each other for almost three years. Those photos are truly superb.

Lurcher, the best of two worlds: you can continue your virtual visit to Paris by scrolling down this website, right hand side you'll see: zoeken per onderwerp/arrondissement = search for arrondissement. From there it's beam me up Scotty. Away from Paris by night, in 2022 or in 1936, le Grand Palais, to Paris in summertime. To the other side of the road, le Petit Palais, what about a lunch in the garden?
