A long way from home. I generally choose my books at more or less random from the local library, I bring loads then I’m sure to find something I like. This book is very interesting as it’s about the Redex around Australia car race in the 1950’s. Not my usual fare, but very interesting and insightful. It’s also interesting to see how far the country has developed from having roads that were little more than dirt tracks to what is there today. Naturally the question of race in another sense also rears its ugly head.

I've read that, I thought it was really good. Oscar & Lucinda by the same author is one of my favourite books.
