My friend drove from Vichy to Diepe,to catch the Ferry to England only to be refused entry to the Ferry. He didn't have a passenger locator form,he returned well pissed off. The Goverment Passenger locator can be down loaded and filled in....a heads up to anyone wishing to book a Ferry.

It’s a well known requirement for travelling back to the U.K. now for well over a year, both the companies I have travelled with have sent numerous reminders saying I must fill one in to be allowed onboard, what ferry company did they use? I would be very surprised if they had not sent the required information to them for boarding.

You can do the PLF any time in the 48 hours before departure, so they could have done the form there and then.

I’ll admit I’m a bit that this still needs a heads up on the requirement but on the other hand the rules are forever changing and the HMG info on the internet is sometimes hard to navigate. As Johnny says the form has been a universal requirement for over a year now and most if not all travel operators require it to be completed before travel starts. FWIW if the friend had had internet access and a smartphone he maybe could have filled it in on the spot (or at least gone to the back of the queue and maybe filled it in on the quayside). Never heard of it, but as someone who doesn't travel to the UK, perhaps that's not surprising.

My friend who travelled on Eurotunnel last week said the Calais terminal was full of people busily filling out missing paperwork.

The Eurotunnel website is useful and seems to be kept well up to date.

Don't you still have to prove you have booked the Day 2 and 8 PCR tests as well, on the PLF?

Don't you still have to prove you have booked the Day 2 and 8 PCR tests as well, on the PLF? If you are coming from somewhere requiring day 2 and 8 tests, you have put the booking reference number for the tests on the PLF.
