My woodman makes a point of either calling me or coming round to ask how much wood I need. Usually in April and he delivers end July/start August. I have used him these last 10 years, 50euro a stere cash in hand since 2012. This year was the first he increased his price by the 4% to 52. Sound as a pound. I am sure that you realise how fortunate you are

Ordering early is the key. My woodman makes a point of either calling me or coming round to ask how much wood I need. Usually in April and he delivers end July/start August. I have used him these last 10 years, 50euro a stere cash in hand since 2012. This year was the first he increased his price by the 4% to 52. Sound as a pound. He came around again yesterday evening. I was expecting a 15% hike to about 60 euro a stere , but he quoted me 57 for this year. Not bad.

I was just having a look in my email "spam" folder and found a message about this. I had a bit of detective work to verify that is is genuine and with a translater did the simulator and found we qualify for €100 toward our wood. That's about a tenth of what it costs but worth trying to get it. It says we need to provide a receipt for the wood which rules us out for any logs bought last year because the wood man only gave a scrap of paper as a receipt and not even dated, etc. Since he has bumped up his prices we are going with a larger fully acredited firm found online. Hopefully they will give a decent official looking receipt when they deliver. The offer ends at the end of May so we need to push for a quick delivery.

Yup. Cut to 20cm lengths is a lot of extra work, so pretty reasonable imho.
