I pay more than €300 and I don't pay online. Payment is by prelevement. So the question remains. There will be tens of households in our commune alone that do not have internet. They don't mean that you " pay online" they mean not at the locket, it is by virement from your bank , you used to be able to pay cash . But you can see online how much you have to pay .

You do now, me😎 We often dream of paying less than €300 tax fonciere/habitation, last years was nearly 6 large and this years (I don't have the figures to hand) is even worse.

Basically the French tax people are just asking house owners that are already in the system to declare that the information is correct , no change. It was only announced on TF1 last night so give the Fisc a chance ..
You have til June to declare .. so it strikes me that some info might be included with the opening of the tax season this April.

Am I the only person seeing the disconnect?

I was quite enjoying observing the panic and gullibility caused by the Connexion once again getting something wrong, I think they do it deliberately to scare people into subscribing.
I wont be able to wind anyone up now but maybe not, it seems your common sense interinjection has not registered with some already in panic mode.

No, exile I think that this is exactly the sort of situation that France Services was set up to deal with. That's if elderly or housebound folks can get to the nearest one and it's actually open!

They are very up to date anyway, the only people likely to not have a property they own showing on their rubrique will be those who have tried very very hard to drown the fish with offshore shell companies etc, the rest of us can look if you are still panicking but you will find its all there.
Within one month of my owning my current property it had appeared amongst my "biens immobilier" on my rubrique on impôts.gouv.fr yet it will be another year at least before the same site shows it as a sale under the search function, that is to say that the sale is not yet a publicly consultable record for someone wanting to see how much it sold for, how many m2 habitable, terrain size etc yet straight away they had it recorded as under my ownership.
If they have got the details wrong I don't give a four X unless it disadvantages me, they are not going to fine me for not checking and telling them they have made a mistake.
For those trying to hide their property ownership to avoid wealth tax the writing is on the wall.

So I would respectfully suggest that the thread title be changed because it is both incorrect and scaremongering albeit done with the best intentions.

I wonder how those who make paper declarations of income and don't therefore have an espace* are supposed to proceed. * I am sure they do but they will not have access to it. I still make paper déclarations but I have an espace if I want to use it which I do.
And before anyone asks why on earth would I choose not to declare on line or tells me that I have to or will be fined honktonk thousands of Euros etc you would be wasting your keystrokes.
They know I have internet access (not having it is an exemption from on line déclaration) and that I use it but they keep on sending me the blank forms so it would be rude of me not to use them!

Small renovated village house no garden that we rent out. I wanted to sign off the house at the Mairie as finished but they wouldn't let me as I hadn't done the finishing around the front door. Consequently we currently pay no habitation and only pay 105€ fonciere😃

We paid 217€ last year, but we only have one bedroom, two bathrooms and a 200M2 house and garage, and its new and we designed it that way as I didn't want to be paying tax on rooms that would be empty for 40+ weeks each year, we did have it built in such a way that part of the garage could be turned into a bathroom and two bedrooms along with a kitchen diner, we had all the pipework and electrics pre-installed to make this an easy thing to do.

Not only that but many/most young people do not have a fixed internet connection in their home .. they use 4G/5G on their phones for everything i.e. banking, games, etc.
