I'm looking for the cheapest way to get a large very overgrown bed cleared. It's not actually my garden but part of a communal courtyard which no-one wants to take responsibility for. I can't work out if there are advantages in using cheque emploi for age 70+. Does anyone have experience of this?

Assuming you pay tax the system is available for all. Not aware there is anything extra for 70+. If there is then I have missed out. We have had a femme de ménage for years under that system.

Normally chèque emploi is for personal help .. in your garden, in your house etc. Not sure if it would be viable for a Communal area .. you can but see. What 'advantages' were you looking for ? If you do use it and it works out then if you pay little or no tax then you will receive a proportion of what you paid out back as a credit in your bank account the following tax year.

What 'advantages' were you looking for ? I have a vague recollection that with chèque emploi, people of 70+ pay a lower rate i.e they receive a greater tax credit but I can't find anything to back this up now. I don't think the fact that it's communal is a problem. It's next to my garden and according to some neighbours I am one of the people who has a share in it. My deeds say differently but I'm fed up with looking at it and it would give me pleasure to see it returned to its former glory. But obviously looking for the cheapest way to achieve this.

Haha! Wondered why that didn't occur to me. Perhaps because of ill health and a 900 sq mtr garden of my own to contend with.
