I was wondering how the cyclists were getting on today and visited the official website. There is an announcement that the stage has been cancelled for safety reasons. The reason is the extreme wind conditions with unpredictable strong gusts. Good decision! I keep an eye on the weather in France but only near our house and did not realise that some of you were being blown around today.

I was up all night trying to prevent the caravane awning from self destructing, 3 hours solid outside in my dressing gown from 02.00 through to 05.00, it was like spinning plates replacing poles, pushing pegs back down into the mush, making running repairs to stop the ridge poles compressing and then falling down.
When I finally could do no more I tried to sleep and put in earplugs so as not to hear the horrendous banging and crashing but the caravan was being shaken so violently I could not sleep.
I have spent today welding up thirty 60cm long ground anchors from 10mm fer à bêton, the ground is so soft I can push them in with the palm of my hand, no resistance at all for 50cm + then just a tiny bit.
Weather report said 50 kph winds, it did not feel that much but later today I saw that a locked upstairs window on the house had been blown in.
I should sleep well tonight as long as the wind does not get up again.
My last disturbed night was when 15cm of sticky snow settled on the awning and did not want to be scraped off, I had to drop the whole thing to waist height to get most of it off, thank heavens it was not windy that night.

Have you ever thought of filming your daily life and putting it on TV?

Bugger. I am reading a book written by my alter ego. It is so funny and so true. I was wondering about posting a page or two and possible copywrite problems
Though, come to think of it, the publishers should be submitting a fee to me for advertising.

I have not got around to working out the best way of posting the point that I wanted to make. It is far to early I the morning for me to explain Here is a somewhat skewed version www.express.co.uk/celebrity-news/1381621/jack-dee-brexit-message-news-remainer-jamie-oliver-friday-night-channel-4-spt’ He appeared to mock the 17.4 million people who voted Leave in the 2016 referendum, by claiming that "we will have a taste to leave things...and will finally leave the Earth by strapping rockets under the country and blasting off into space" ’ He appeared to mock the 17.4 million people who voted Leave in the 2016 referendum, by claiming that "we will have a taste to leave‘ No. He was simply taking the pi55.
