Jackie, a BBC employee or pseudo employee should be politically neutral at all times. There are plenty of programmes for folk to sound off their views, such as Question Time. REALLY !? How much further do your facistic views extend ? Anyone working for the government ? Or Local Authorities, NHS, Armed Forces ? Bin men? Maybe just legislate that only card carrying Tories can extol their views in public. Or invent a special salute to show how much you support them. I don't generally comment here but this ridiculous comment was beyond the pale and shows exactly why Lineker is right to warn of the language used by governments and people can fall down the rabbit hole of suppressing rights. www.smithsonianmag.com/videos/category/history/where-does-beyond-the-pale-come-from/I would say that it is such a paradox that the so called Government of the U.K. has fallen into the white rabbit’s home. Go ask Alice.

Well done BBC. Dumping GL seems to have alienated half the population - - if they don't show the Attenborough programme tonight they upset the other half. Tonight's episode is not in danger. It is the so-called 6th episode that will only be available on the i-player. I say so-called because it is not clear f it was made as part of the series or as a separate program. But that is probably the BBC just trying to confuse things and justify their actions. The irony is that if they had had a quiet word with GL to try and tone down his tweets for a while, this would have been forgotten by now but instead they have ensured that there is at least another week's worth of news in this story and what happens next. Gun. Foot. Point. Shoot.

Not anti government but comparing them to the nazis is completely inacceptable. I shall enjoy MOTD without the inane chat and analysis. It was simply awful, I turned off after a few minutes it was simply rubbish. The BBC will be lucky if Lineker and co do not switch allegiance to BT Sport or even ITV. All this to cause a smoke screen to cover the corruption and lies for the Tories. I hope no one still believes the BBC is "lefty" channel, if so, look at the heads of the BBC all Tories........

Overpaid ex footballer calls out government. Fine, but not using his celebrity to do so. Had he stated a right wing view most of you would be screaming for him to be suspended or sacked. Find him a safe Labour seat so he can mouth off; maybe he could give Mr. J. Corbyn that well known independent candidate a run for his money. Dont pretend it is a free speech issue, that is rollocks. Calm down Wooly, it was free speech but you mustn't call out against the Tory party, especially as many supporters head the BBC....

So much for the BBC being seen as a "lefty" broadcaster, The daily Tory rags have failed to hide these men.

Without having read all the replies, apologies, isn’t it time the BBC gave up on government money and just became another broadcaster, people say many brilliant programmes would never have got off the ground in that case, but I’m not so sure, they can’t go on like this for much longer.

Alice B. Toklas, famous in the 60s for her recipe for hash(ish) brownies. Toklas by name, toke lass by nature. Small world what a coincidence… through the Toklas link I found en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brion_GysinIt just so happens that this guy was born in the same hospital that several of my mothers family died at and my stepfather’s mother died at in 1966 and was also in the area where I was lead ashtray in the 1960s and early ‘70s. I think that whoever writes this stuff is wasted and would probably have earned more writing for The Stun’ In 1952/3 he met the travel writer and sexual adventurer Anne Cumming and they remained friends until his death.[6]‘
