I'll let you into a secret. They have invented something called a teabag. As long as you don't buy them in France they are a viable alternative. My Earl Gray bought in France in tea bags seems OK to me. Some years ago I enjoyed Earl Grey for a refreshing change to the builders' brew I was consuming. My reference above was re ordinary PG tips, Tesco, etc. that many of us drink by the gallon. Pretty much the only thing I see available in the French supers is Lipton Yellow Label. Arm and a leg for a small box that would last us a week. Pretty much tasteless and about as good as cheapo French emulsion.

I am just starting my morning cup of blended tea.
abt. 37% Twining's Earl Grey and 63% Liptons
I think that the Lipton’s is pretty tasteless compared to some of the blends that I’ve tried.
Life was easier and more tasteful in the last millennium when it was possible to walk into Leader price and buy half a k of Ceylon for the equivalent of about £6 ish.
Is there any alternative available in France that does not involve tea bags?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I doubt anyone else thinks like Nifty. A truly unique mind long may he continue.
