It is not actually. My kids play fisbee as a form of physical education. The funny thing is, the teacher is stuck to his mobile while the kids chuck a frisbee about. If kids want to do a sport, it is after school and you pay for it. I don't know about dilly , but I've had three kids go through the school system here in France and each of them had sport during their EPS lessons. Ummm....how long ago ?

The last one finished in 2017.
Maybe the schools around St Avertin are a little bit special.

You keep saying St Avertin. Any reason why ?

Both my kids had brilliant EPS teachers - admittedly quite a while ago - and they loved their sports lessons.
Beside that, I'd say that virtually all my colleagues are very competent and conscientious, always wary of their EPS inspectors, who are notoriously strict.
Please don't tar the whole profession with the same brush because you've been unlucky.
Were your kids in a private school by any chance? And did you make enquiries about the EPS syllabus at any point?

I'm not taring anything. They have been both private and state schools. Including Paris. The point was made earlier in the thread that if you want your kids to learn a sport, it is usually out of school and you pay for it. That is correct. Sport in schools is basically getting kids to run about a bit for 2hrs.

Our four all did sport at school - handball, swimming, athletics for example.

Reading through the forum this morning - starting with this thread as there was a notification linked to it - I've got my user name with "enter comment" at the bottom of every post in every thread on the forum. Did I click on the wrong button somewhere? Am I the only one who can see these comment boxes?
Sorry if I've done something wrong, FFS.
edit: They've all just disappeared...

It's not you, dilly, it was a plug-in I added to allow members to make comments on replies, but it didn't seem useful, so I disabled it.
