new name ss3; formally ss2. Problems with security and having to register again was a complete pain. I am not very good with computers.

Thank you Sue,fingers crossed 🤞 and hope that this is the last of security problems. It is the case that security is an ongoing problem online, Lot of dodgy characters seeking to prey people on the World Wide Web.

At least you managed it - which I doubt I could.

Welcome back SS3. I too have spent hours both on the computer and the phone trying to get through security to install a banking app. (Since last October). Finally discovered my Iphone was too old (old OS), the system had my phone number wrong and of course I could not get in to change it. The app did not work on my old Ipad or new Ipod. It took dozens of sessions via the phone to get them to give it up and send me a separate scanner, which I hope to get in 10 days time. Meantime I discovered why my credit card had been blocked since October and that they had notified me of this via a mail on their website, where I still cannot log into to read it. So I really do share your frustration with all this security bol###ks.

Welcome back SS3, sorry that you’ve had access problems, but it’s reassuring that it’s not just me who can’t get these things to work!

We've just had the local internet go down. Late Friday night there was an almighty bang (no flash) but a long lingering thunder-like bang, like I imagine a nuclear bomb might sound from a couple of hundred miles away. In the morning there was no internet. Without it we are stuffed. I fired up the stupid/smartphone and later in the day an SMS came through a gap in the universe telling us there was a network problem that would be fixed by Monday night. I was immediately suspicious how they knew it would take exactly that long. Nothing more came through on the phone apart from a message saying they were giving us 2gb of free data (I assume to use in lieu of internet over the lanline) but that was no comfort where we have no mobile network signal. Ha Ha bloody Ha! Even the radio doesn't play because it needs the internet to work. We finally regained contact with the rest of the world this afternoon just after lunch. Lucky us.
