pcpa "Also any DJ or people on chat shows seemed to say pretty much nothing but "euuhh", I once started making a count, over 40 per minute at times."
Next time try counting the "like" and "ya know" used by pretty much everyone apart from the best radio announcers.

It's not just TV, though I gave that up in 2003. What has slightly blighted my life recently is YouTube making everything payable and before that splattering adverts all over the place. Same with the free version of Spotify. It's a sad sign of the times that t'internet is so completely commercialised. A little unfair to criticize Spotify for using ads to fund their free version. You have a choice. I have a Spotify Premium account which costs me €9,99 a month. For that I get ad-free content, top quality audio through a decent sound system, downloadable content. A pretty good deal. All for less than the cost of one CD a month. If you want something free then BBC is not bad. Try "This Classical Life" with Jess Gillam on Saturdays. All free downloads and you can create your own "My Sounds" section.

They were French radio stations, I'm too far away to pick up UK radio and I listen on a radio not a computer although no doubt its days are numbered.
