Picture works now Unlike those you normally post, which are always of interest to me by the way, this one does not enlarge when you click on it or oepn it in a new window.
I have significant post op eye problems at present (spent afternoon at ophthalmo clinique & back again first thing Tuesday) so can only see a table, a white tablecloth with maybe some stuff on it but not sure what. Does it look like a dining table after Chernobyl where you can see the remains of an interrupted meal?

Its always a reminder of the difference between British and French attitudes toward housing. The UK market has become such a money spinner that presentation is everything, in order to show a place at its best. In France the market dynamic is much different and partly because of the inheritance laws thousands of houses remain unwanted and fall into disrepair and the young either have a house waiting in the wings for them via inheritance or would prefer to rent elswhere where there are work opportunities.
Two examples come to mind. A French neighbour introduced me to her mother and when I commented on her house being very nice she announced she had four others (I assume by inheritance). A British expat who lived here until her husband died described her French house as it appeared when she first bought it. Very much like Mysty's kitchen table photo. There was food in the cupboard, plates, cutlery, bed linen, etc. as if time had stopped many years before.

This looks like the set up in the derelict house next to our previous house. Sad really.

Your capabilities are miles ahead of mine, I have never been able to copy a photo to this forum, I think that is true of most contributors, perhaps they are able but dont want to, you are certainly the most accomplished and prolific.

Pcpa, have you tried using the red “reply” button instead of the “Post Quick Reply” ? I choose that route if I need to add a photo. It offers more choice including a clear method of adding an image.

Is there a bigger photo? At that size, with my eyesight, it looks quite normal!
