Thank you. I've never seen the plant before, isn't easy to cultivate? Arriving late to this thread so apologies if this is old info Caper plants are much more widely available than they used to be but if you know someone with an established shrub, cuttings are quite easy to strike. There are at least two species, one is thornless. They need perfect drainage! My neighbour's 40-year-old (allegedly) shrub is planted right next to the house wall, so growing in stony rubble. She covers it over in winter...first a 'dry' layer of paper or straw, then a thick plastic sheet. Mine is in the polytunnel, but it's just barely frost-free. The hardest part about growing it is steeling yourself to pick the buds before they open into the most beautiful flowers

Mine too LPT. They've got wicked hooks haven't they? I dabbled with a bought plant of the thornless one, but it didn't make it through the first winter outside.
