As it ain't your wall I thought it was a reasonable question. True, it is, but then I was not the one that decided that I did not deserve the light and openness that once existed. We're in a similar situation but our view wrecker is not a paintable wall but 4 brand new houses built over the past 3 years directly across the very narrow chemin from our house. We had a wide view across open ground to trees, a few distant, low houses and eventually the sea - tho we couldn't see the sea because of the dunes but we could hear it well enough. When some trees were lopped every now and then we had a tiny 'aperçu' of the sea for a while which was lovely.
But as ajm said .. you don't own a view.

Nie wall and indeed canvas if your neighbour is an industrial unit, scapyard or other bad site. I would worry if it was topped with razorwire and cameras.

The field next to us is going to have 25 properties built on it. It won't really affect our view but could impinge on our privacy and the peace we have enjoyed for 30 years. Hey Ho!!

The complete picture, a link to an external database. Not too much precious space occupied by this link.

Just trying to see if a reduced image works. Clearly has not worked. It was about 98kb. Sorry, I have wasted everyone’s time. I can expand the resulting image but it has lost too much detail. View AttachmentYou’re joking, I have tried to reduce photos etc but have never managed it. What’s the secret ? If you are on W10. Open the picture You get a small number of options for image manipulation above the image. The last icon is "..." Click on this and it opens a new menu, One of the options is to resize the image.

You’re joking, I have tried to reduce photos etc but have never managed it. What’s the secret ? On an android phone, tap the ✏️ icon (pencil but sloping the other way). Tap the three vertical dots bottom right. Select resize. You'll have the option of 20, 40, 60 or 80% or original. I have used 20% with very little loss of quality. You'll get the option of saving it and you can always revert back. Et voilà.
