I had a look at the location and some other properties available in the bourg and it seems a relatively expensive area .. other properties in very poor condition are going for between 93 000€ and 125 000€. It must have smthg to do with its location and accessibility to Rennes, St Malo and Mont Saint Michel. << A 10 minutes de Combourg, 15 minutes de Dol-de-Bretagne et du Mont-saint-Michel. 35 minutes de Rennes ou Saint-Malo.>>

Its nice near Mont Saint Michel, prices have gone crazy in France over the last few years. If you needed to bring builders into renovate that property you would be looking at probably around 150/200.000 even doing the work yourself would cost a lot now. The modern house we just sold cost 20K which was for nothing we spent over 20K decorating new windows flooring ect but no structural work or new w alls or floors just laminate flooring kitchen and bathjroom. A few years ago you could have done all that work for half that price.

Its just a plot of land really.It wants pulling down, the stone sold off and a new house built. The plot is only 315sqm unless it's somewhere exceptional it's probably not worth the asking price. I would need to be stoned to buy that one. The end wall (with the tin roofed shed) tells a serious story, and the rest don't look much better.

We have enough to try and sell just now. Most potential buyers would not touch that. I've just looked at the ad and Bazouges la Pérouse is one of the areas we were looking in about 20 years ago. I remember loving the name, like a poem! Yes, I can see that's one you should pass by especially if you currently have a lot of houses to sell. I'm one of the dreamers/timewasters who would be full of impossible expensive plans.
