Have a guess. If you dropped a marble into the deepest part of the earths ocean, how long would it take for it to fall to the ocean bed ? I'm guessing that it will never reach the ocean floor because water pressure at great depth will cause the water to be denser than the marble? No, there is a time given for it to get to the bed
