An excellent article.
The only problem with it is that those who can afford and are elitist will see it as an advert for such places. A good investment as they see it.
The last two paragraphs do not bode well for the future.
As nobody(ALBF) implies elitism manifested itself in many different ways. The British approach purposefully produces characters with particularily nasty traits. Probably helped by the study of ancient and latterly colonial history.

His point however is relevant; France also is managed by an elite. The Guardian article is sad because it seems to be one person’s experience backed up by selected research. I could say that I dont recognise the picture he portrays- kids wetting the bed, teddy bears, crying, though at prep school there were clearly or two who were apparently unwanted. As for making a link with the character and behaviour of DC and BJ, that is tenuous in the extreme. It would seem that any sense of self-awareness is also drummed out of you in the public school system...
