The Prem is back.
The new season opened with the mighty Brentford demolishing the dire Arsenal. The best team won by a mile and the score could have been higher. Arsenal somehow had about five first team players unavailable through illness or injury which tells me that there is a problem with the training procedure, something which harks back to the last days of Wenger. The only way for the Gooners is up which is encouraging and equally the only way for the Bees is probably down.

I watched bits of the game and Arsenal looked very ordinary.
This season is not going to a normal one even though full crowds are back etc, many teams will have players missing at times due to Covid isolations.

I think Arsenal’s problems are deeper than Covid. Arteta could be the first casualty of the season. I think Nuno and Steve Bruce will be close behind. The Gooners have been paying silly money for average players for years. Should be a cracker at Elland Road later.

Should be a cracker at Elland Road later. In one hour Leeds play Man U @ Man U
Will not be 6-2 but expect 3-1 to the home side....
We have an easy beginning of the season ( on paper) until Oct 16th when we play leicester, then liverpool, spurs and then City.. Our christmas schedule also looks pretty easy....
I expect City and Chelski to battle it out for top spot.

My prediction was way off - 5-1 and counting.. Pogba with 4 assists...

Leeds haven't added enough quality for me, until Llorente is back and Philips (with a couple of others) up to the required Bielsa fitness level it's going to be a struggle.

Blimey, that’s the first round of Prem games out of the way and what a weekend of surprises !
Newly promoted Bees demolished a pretty bad Gooners in the opener.Man U thrashed sorry Leeds, Chelski looked brilliant againstCP in Veiras first game in charge. Toffees and the Foxes managed to win though not convincingly. Watford hung on to beat the Villa and the Canaries, favourites to end bottom again we’re outclassed by a Liverpool side who didn’t get out of second gear. WHU looked good again at St James with immediate pressure put on Steve Bruce and the mighty Spurs deserved the points against the champions Man City with 100 mill Grealish looking good in parts. Pep would be tearing his hair out if he had any. This is a game Spurs would have lost under Jose. Strangely no draws.
