I have a friend who's planning to visit me next month. She'll have to travel by TGV for part of the journey. A french resident would have to show a passe sanitaire - what can she use?
Thanks

She needs to generate an EU pass sanitaire.
For those who have an NHS certificate with a QR code (not Scotland), you scan your NHS QR codes into the TousAntiCovid app and it will generate a pass sanitaire.
There is a way for people without QR codes on their certificates (those vaccinated in Scotland for example) to get a pass sanitaire but it will take some googling to find the route.

For those arriving from a country other than the England and Wales there is a way of obtaining a health pass/pass sanitaire. But it has been put into operation swiftly, is being trialled this week and may be changed from 15th. I understand that the system crashed on Friday evening but is apparently working again now. The application form was intended to be filled out on a computer and easily automated during processing but the English version has been badly bad formatted at the end of the application. It doesn’t work if it’s filled in by hand. The application form in French does not have the formatting problem that the English version has. It would be a good idea to print the English version as a guide and fill in the French form on the computer, print, sign, scan, and attach to an email. Reported on BBC tonight, and confirmed on gov website, that NHS Scotland will be able to issue digital covid vax certificates (with QR code) from 3 Sept (replacing paper certificates). so should be easier for Scots to get pass sanitaire.
One point I'm not sure on (can someone advise please) ... Is whether the QR code issued in UK is sufficient to access pubs etc in France ...or does it need to be input into French app to get a pass sanitaire. Sorry if I'm being a numpty here.

You do have to scan a UK QR code into the TousAntiCovid app to get a European QR code. The UK ones will not work here.

Thanks Exile. Used my laptop to download vax certificate (with QR code) from NHS Scotland website. Then downloaded Tousanticovid app on to my phone and took photo of the code (from laptop screen). It worked!

I want to scan my NHS QR code(s) into the TousAntiCovid app to generate a pass sanitaire. Can anybody tell me if I need to scan the domestic QR code, which is bigger and clearer, or the 2 travel QR codes. The 2 travel codes may both be the same but it shows one for each jab. Thanks in advance.

I used QR code for 2nd test ... Seemed to make most sense although I couldn't see any official guidance

When I did it for friends, I scanned the two QR codes one for each vaccination. The French system only produced the European QR code when the second one had been scanned.

Thank you both for your replies. I will try scanning the second travel QR code.

Thanks to you all for your help. I scanned the QR code for the second vaccination first, but it wasn't until I scanned the QR code for the first vaccination that it generated the French QR code. So obviously it needs both codes.
