So, were Bush and Bliar right to start another war in the Middle East.
Hadn't the two countries done enough damage in that region before - christians (now evangelical especially) thinking here?
20 years later. no real dependance on oil, and IMHO, western influence irrelevant.
Happy to debate but perhaps Israel proxy may be an issue to be avoided.

Long term conflicts/campaigns are easy to start but almost impossible to pull out of with any dignity or satisfactory result.
The US and it's allies could have kept a small force in the country to keep the Taliban under control but chose to pullout leaving the local population to an uncertain fate. I'd like to think that this is the last time the West gets involved in an area of the world that it clearly doesn't understand but I won't hold my breath.

Beejay
Uk does have a massive commitment to redeem their "colonial" misdeeds.
Fat chance though.

Partition was not instigated or encouraged by the British.

If someone has changed their name from another forum, why use that name on here?

If someone has changed their name from another forum, why use that name on here? Habit I guess, because I know who it is?

Partition was not instigated or encouraged by the British. Are you absolutely sure about that?
