Intriguing. When I booked our 3rd jabs there was no mention of age or health conditions. Yes, I could have booked a RDV for December a while back as there was no conditions attached but I put it off for a while. leclairon (above post) said that OH was booked in but was refused the jab even though over 75. Bit confusing.
I'll wait awhile, no rush.

Hi again I have come to the conclusion that it is like the CdS and just varies region to region.
As I mentioned, we filled in everything and OH was actually at the RV in the vaccination centre when they told him he didn't qualify as per the health conditions - radiotherapy for cancer didn't qualify - even though he is considerably over the 75, so he came home again. However, that was about 3 weeks ago so maybe it has changed since then. I haven't tried again.

Radiotherapy doesn't affect the immune system as far as I know. Chemo does. Which is why those undergoing chemo, or recently treated, are included. But as you say, different people are having different experiences getting vaccinated.

Radiotherapy can affect the immune system if the radiographic beam or source irradiates immune centres such as bone narrow, lymph nodes and so forth.

It's so easy to make assumptions based on limited knowledge. I shall steer clear of making statements on medical issues in future. I doubt anyone would take me seriously, but you never know.

To be fair to you, mangetout, you did say "as far as I know".
I agree with your statement, "It's so easy to make assumptions based on limited knowledge." - therein lies the reason behind all the anti-vaxers' ill-informed rhetoric.

Also, to be fair, while chemo carpet bombs the immune system, Radiotherapy is more specific and will cause immunocompromise in more specific circumstances.

It is over 65 for third dose, not 75. This is what Veran said the other day. Pharmacy has put us both on his list for jabs, OH over 65 and I’m immune compromised, and will call us in at the appropriate time.

Had our third jabs today, given QR code on paper immediately. The form we had to fill in asked for birth name as well as nom de usage and my paper version of the QR code says "neé xxx" and then my married name. It has uploaded to the phone with only maiden name as before. I shall keep the paper one too as any problem at borders with the "wrong" name can be explained.
Hardly anyone at the centre and it was being used for second as well as third jabs. Mrs H.

Does anyone know if they've changed the age in France from 65 and above, to 60 and above?
Our boosters are booked for early December so i'm hoping we will fit the requirements by then.
Thanks

There have been a couple of mobile vac vehicles not far from us recently. Received an email from (??) notifying about the dates. When the second one was announced literally 5km from our door we went along for the 3rd jab. They looked at our paperwork and said it was too soon. Come back in Nov. and Dec. Bummer. We could have had a lay in.

The health ministry here hasn't made it's up yet on whether booster jabs will be offered to everyone.

I had my autumn booster today, in the UK. That makes 2 Astra Zeneca, 2 Pfizer, 1 Moderna (today).
It was the first day of boosters here, apparently; my NHS email invitation to have it arrived last week. I was hoping to get a flu jab before having a knee op in a fortnight, but none are available from our GP until November, so I decided I’d get my next Covid booster.
