I am looking for a navigator to take part in rallyes. It can be french or english person. If not french then I would much prefer someone with at least basic french language skills. It could be someone with experience, or a débutant. We would be using a Triumph TR3A. Expenses to be shared. That is, entry fees, petrol and diesel (if we are towing to the event and travel together). All costs for the car are met by me. If you are interested or know of someone then please contact me.

As you used to post often on another forum, curtis, it would be helpful to know your location! It sounds like an interesting gig in any event (no pun intended) and I'm sure you'll find someone - I presume age or sex doesn't matter?

No, age and sex doesn't matter, the most important thing is a real interest in the "job"! In fact it isn't easy to find a navigator as more often people stay together for years. In fact that is ideal. In fact my last two changes have been that they wanted to get back to driving rather than navigating.

How many Rally’s per year and what locations are we talking ………within France or Europe wide, or worldwide?

It’s something I did a bit of (rallye de régularité) when I first moved to France with someone who must be a reasonably close neighbour of yours. I would always be willing to fill in if you were really in need for the occasional rally but I don’t think I would be able to offer the sort of commitment that you need.

If I still lived near St. Jean If I spoke at least basic French If you were rallying your Packard If you didn't need help with expenses
And if my only participation with rallying resulted in finishing 47th in a field of 50 (48, 49, & 50 didn't turn up)
Happy days.

One day events if the travelling is not too onerous and two day further afield; For instance I am doing a two day event in October which starts at La Bresse in the Vosges. That's a fair trot from here. Number of rallyes to suit.

Ibis. Thanks. I do have inquiries elsewhere directly with those involved in the sport.

I used to do the 1/4 mile on motorcycles - a Kawasaki 750 2 stroke back in the day. That was fun and my parents still have the bike in the garage back home. Worth a little bit now..
In a car on an oval track, again a 1/4 mile in a stock car - 350 v8, auto transmission, role cage and fuel cell. A buick, 2 door... Rock Island, il and in Hampton, Virginia were my courses for the car racing..I cannot remember the "name" of the car.. I want to say skylark but it wasn't that. Maybe Regal... I will ask my dad when i call next..
Hope you find what you are looking for....

OH used to rally, he had an RS2000. He did the Circuit of Ireland once, but his navigator got them lost on their way to the final stage - no, it wasn't me! Hope you find a good one Curtis!
