It's all about hardening off, spectrum. If they've been coddled in a greenhouse or tunnel they'll need acclimatising gradually to life in the great outdoors, whether it's windy, cold or strong sun

OK..to answer your question, I don't 'do' bedding plants, but the citrus trees and tender climbers have been out on the terrasse since the end of March, with the option to wheel them back under the roof if necessary It's not necessarily the same climate here, though. Even within one département it can vary enormously.

Another hot, sunny day here in 47. The storms have moved on without giving any much-needed rain.

It started off grey and dreary, but had a little sunshine later and very welcome sunshine now and 17C at the moment, was 20C this afternoon, so quite pleasant apart from the north-easterly breeze we’ve been having for about a fortnight, which has made the real-feel temp. rather cooler.
The forecast thunderstorm for the area round our apartment in the Gard didn’t arrive, but more are forecast for the weekend. 26C and sunny today, so the pétanque session will have been under the chestnut trees.

Just had a very welcome downpour. Apparently it was 23mm. Had the same again during the night. That is a reasonable amount of long overdue rain, though obviously a lot just drained away.

Some rain would be very welcome in Berkshire.
It’s another grey start to the day, but sunshine is forecast from midday for the rest of the day, with a high of 20C.
in our French town it’s sunny and 18C, forecast to reach 26C but a thunderstorm is again forecast for this evening.

Just been strimming but stopped as it's just too hot, 28 degrees yesterday. Gonna be much the same today.
In answer to spectrums question about bedding plants. My geraniums and petunias have been out for a couple of weeks now. Same for other flowers and veg.

Sooo jealous! We're into the 'Jean de Florette syndrome' already here. Watching vast black clouds chucking thousands of litres over nearby towns and villages while we don't get a drop. Thank goodness for my source!

Sunny and breezy here in Brittany. No sign of the northerly wind letting up soon either according to the forecast. 😢 Ground is getting very dry now.
