PS If you wait and watch till the end, and Milk and Alcohol flashes up, the Ad beforehand is worth considering.

I'd lost track of this thread Nifty and clearly a lot has been happening since I last caught up. It seems after investigations your treatment is all about to begin. Once it has, it might well be better than the anxiety attached to anticipating with dread that I can get preoccupied with.
So, bon courage and stay positive. Take care.

PS I looks like the advert that was prior, or, after the milk and alcohol track is not there any more. A funny serendipitous find at the time.

So the hour of reckoning approaches. Thanks to treiziest’s post I looked up
Frey's Syndromewhich may go some way to explaining my condition in the first week or so after the operation. It was a very novel experience for me, so horrible I find it very difficult to describe.

My BMI is now 24.7 which is just in what is considered to be the Normal zone. How booring. I wonder if I should lay off eating more or carry on because when the effects of the chemo kick in, which I am told they probably will in about a months time, I reckon that I might be liable to loose weight again.

Thursday 4th November Day One of the 33 + to follow 6.45. S collected me. I sat in the front of the taxi with him on the way to the clinic. He is from La Rochelle and had been a taxi driver for 22years, Paris for 7 years, La Châtre then Mont de Marsan. 7.50 Upon arrival at the clinic at Marzet I simply followed S’s instructions. With all his experience he obviously knew the ropes.
8.49 S has been called away. He told me that another driver would collect me within 20 minutes of my treatment being done. ‘ It would be a first’ I thought.
After some in the the waiting area I had an Interview with the Doctor, he really looked like a schoolboy and I did not recognised him from any of my previous visits.
Dr. *** ? I voiced my concern about missing teeth. The doctor tried to call Dr, *** my dentist but was unable to.
I then had to redo the paperwork with the receptionist, when it was sorted went the comfy chairs and continued to write this log. 9.00 I went to the toilet then mislaid my computer. I Relocated it where I had left it under the comfy chair.
9.05 I am wondering what to write. I will continue to transcribe my letters
9.40 T arrived to take me back. His English is poorer and I sat in the back of the taxi 9.55 I am sitting in the taxi alone in some part of the town that I do not recognise the engine of the taxi is running. T went to ‘ Je cherche le Monsieur ‘. It is raining. 10.10 T returned with another man who I think is called C who is sitting in the seat besides me and the journey was resumed. He does not remove his mask. I cannot see if T is wearing his and feel uncomfortable. T has just coughed so I’ll see if I can find my mask. Luckily it was in my shirt pocket so I donned it. 10.44 dropped C off at his home, a farm near the Mais Adour depot southish of Sarron. , near Geaune.
11.00 arrived home and mused about how efficient the system was at redistributing vast amounts of money and just how lucky I was to be in it, but, thought of how much less of a waste of time it might have been had my oh been able to correlate with the ideas that I unsuccessfully tried to convey to her at the outset of this interlude. Just like all those years ago when we arrived a day too early to catch a ferry.

Rescheduled for next week.
whilst I fully support the idea that it is better to be safe than sorry, it seems to me that there may be more to it than that.

Wishing you well for your treatment this week, hope the journey to and from doesn't take it out on you. I used to sleep in the taxi both ways, poor taxi lady listening to my snoring

Monday 8th Nov. 11.30
Bolt from the blue
The hospital has just rung to inform me that my treatment has been rescheduled from the treatment that was supposed to have begun last week but did not because I have two temporary crows missing. It was supposed to begin tomorrow. I am supposed to go through the whole procedure of centrage ( correlating the site the cancer with the machine that directs the X-rays to a certain point) again. Why? Because I have had my temporary crowns that had fallen out refitted.
I am not a Doctor and I can not understand the reasoning. By the same token I am not an idiot, in spite of saying so sometimes and can only come to the idea that I am a cash cow that is being over-milked.
Can anybody imagine another reason and explain how having teeth glued back can alter the position on a spot tattooed on my chest and/or the cancer in my throat ?

They want to give the radiation through the minimum of unaffected tissue so the teeth being repositioned may affect this,it may alter the dosage necessary to be etc etc. It is a very exact science, minimal changes can cause big effects You are not an oncologist or a radiographer ,why not assume that they actually may know what they are doing? Are they taking money from you? If not why get so stressed, let the professionals do their job

Because I can feel what I think is another tumour growing in my throat..
So, on second thoughts it may.be good to get another centrage, but, I do not know, No way can having two crowns cemented back on move a tattoo or cancer. I was going to do it myself with super glue.
