Crabtree posted the link but I think it's for 24. Mind you, you can up the numbers if you (or anyone else) wants to sign.

This system looks good on paper but in real life it makes the poor poorer.
How would this work in a big metropolitan city; ie. Paris, Lyon or Nice?

Burning any is banned pretty much across the whole of France let alone burning more!
Please speak up anyone if it isn't banned in your commune. I've bumped this up as we are still allowed bonfires from 01/10/21. In our Commune you have to complete a form obtainable from the Maire, when you want a bonfire.

Where will it all end? Walking to the shops carrying a basket to have the shopkeeper (robotic of course) place the items in? Elimination of plastic and other packaging might seem to be the eco goal but at what cost? Here in Morbihan we haven't had one-use plastic shopping bags in shops/supermarkets for more than 10 years .. long life bags are available to buy at the check-out but nearly everyone takes their own bag(s) to the shops. Small plastic bags were also outlawed years ago so now most bags are recyclable material or paper. Haven't seen any robots in the shops yet

Have you, or did you have this system, like rabbit? Sorry .. only seen this just now. No, where we live we have separate underground bins for black-sack rubbish, another for bottles and another for paper, cardboard and plastic .. with above-ground access points. These are dotted about throughout the commune and look a lot better than the huge plastic bins on wheels we previously had. There is no charge for using any bin .. realistically there can't be as we have so many holidaymakers and second-home visitors in summer that we would end being submerged in rubbish if there was a charge. Or similar to what was mentioned before : a Dutch tourist pushing their black bag into the unlocked recycling bin. Our dechetteries are excellent and free of charge at point of use too .. or, as before, we would be buried in fly-tipping or abandoned garden rubbish alongside the quiet roads.

Rural life will go on.
As previously said, its the inner cities that will bear the cost.

Again we live in a small hamlet, so we just put out a black bin bag every other week and the yellow one on the alternative, I have a large wheeley bin for the black bags, as they can contain food waste, bones etc, so it helps to keep the pests off.
