There are still 000's of applications that haven't been processed yet so I guess there'll be some 'leeway' for a while.

I was wondering that. Everyone I know who applied has theirs, and that from a sous préfecture who was very tardy, and a neighbouring Prefecture.

Our eldest son still hasn't had an interview yet due to processing delays at the Gironde prefecture, he was told that he was one of several hundred stuck in a backlog. Given that the application portal was kept open until the end of 2021 I can't believe that the Gironde was the only department in the country that haven't processed all applications. If you have a look at this you'll see that are people all over the country who haven't had their cards - www.facebook.com/ukinfrance/

That sounded odd so I had a look at their FB. It turns out that the poster is a U.K. resident who spends the summer seasons working on French camp sites. He certainly wasn’t in France on 31/12/2020 let alone resident. It looks as though he has managed to lie himself into a WARP card. I wonder if he will stand up to the scrutiny required to make that permanent when the time comes.

The portal shut to new applications after that date. From then on you have to go direct to the préfecture, but the portal was shut.

I was simply (I thought) pointing out that from 4/10/21 the online portal was shut to new applications.

I have heard of being stuck in a time warp, you lot are stuck in the TDS Warp, the heading of this discussion
Does the campsite guy know he is being stalked? I mean someone trying to establish where he was or wasn't on a particular day a year ago would be quite worrying for some people but then if they put their life up on the net in detail they cannot really complain.

I was warned a long time ago that a particular type of post on social media could come back to bite you one day. He obviously didn’t get that advice.

This story about two Brits who've been refused a CdS despite living here 18 years is doing the rounds on social media -
Allegedly 6000 Brits still haven't got for one reason or another.

If it's on France 3 then it's more than social media; his wife has received hers, he hasn't received his - the sound wasn't clear my end so I wasn't sure if the report said he'd been refused or if he simply hadn't received his card.

Wants his 5 minutes of fame, he is not in illegality nor has he lost any rights, he has his attestation d'enregistrement so does not need a carte vitale even to travel backwards and forwards to the UK at present, something that French nationals cannot do.
I liked that they made a slight attempt to recognise that his name is pronounced differently in English, Oog gradually morphed into Yoog but never Hew, that would have been too much for the French viewing public.
Once again it was the women that could speak easily in French although his wife (not sure if the Polish sounding surname was hers or his) may have been French or from another European country.
I watched it again, the TdS they showed as his wifes was for the other lady who perhaps identifies as being male as she said she is Européen and not Européenne.
