Further to a couple of posts and PMs, here is a brief guide to including photos in your posts.
There are basically two methods to post images on this forum, and the benefits of one over the other depend on whether the image is on your computer or online. I'm writing this from the point of view of someone using a computer, practicalities might be slightly different with other devices.
The first method, for images on your computer (less than 1MB in 'weight', one of the limitations of this method), is using the Add Attachment option at the top right of your posting screen - the image shown below is for creating a thread, but it's in the same place when replying to a post.
When you click on Add Attachments another window opens over the top of your post, click on Add files to browse to where the image you want to add is stored...
...choose that photo and the means your computer asks to confirm the choice and wait for the image to be uploaded
Then position your cursor at the point in the post where you want to insert the image, click Insert and then click Done. The result on your posting screen will appear small, it will be re-sized once the post is created.
As mentioned above, the size/weight of the image attached has to be less than 1MB; one solution is to find a piece of downloadable software that reduces the size of the original (I use PIXresizer, downloadable here), another solution is to use the second method of adding photos, detailed below.
The second method, for online images (either on an online photo storage site, eg Imgur, or any other images you've seen/found online), is to use the Insert Image button, again from the Create Thread/Reply screen, shown below.
Paste the image link (copied from the online source of the image) in the top box, ignore the second box, and click Insert Image. This time the image should be the original size, but the forum software will reduce it so it doesn't take up too much space.
If anyone has any questions, don't hesitate to pose them.
