There is indeed, FFS was kind enough to create a way, you join some kind of non gamer group under settings, he will hopefully link to the how to topic.

Mrs A .. try this.
Click on 'Profile' .. 4th along on the blue line above on the Forum Banner. View Profile opens up .. just above your name are tabs. Click on the Groups tab .. scroll down a bit. Under Other Groups there is Non-Gamer .. look across and click on the Join Group under Options.

When I look at 'active topics' or 'recent posts' there is sometimes an abundance of games/quizzes etc posts. As I don't look at those posts can't spend much time on here in one go, is there a way that I can block them out of my viewing? Does that make sense? Thanks for posting this, I was thinking along the same lines but didn't think it would be possible but I have just changed my settings to a Non Gamer Member

Mrs Archy, you can still have the moniker Member under your name instead of Non-Gamer and not standout from the crowd (as per mine, and still be part of the non-gamer group).
