Marks & Spencer could close some of its French stores after new Brexit border controls left it struggling to keep the shelves full.

The high street retailer has been vocal about the big supply chain problems it has encountered since the UK left the trading bloc, with lengthy delays leading to tonnes of food being spoiled and gaps on shelves.

The EU wants to ban or limit British tv shows (www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jun/21/eu-prepares-cut-amount-british-tv-film-shown-brexit) here so that should fall right inline with what is happening now that they are not a EU member..

Such problems are not going to go away quickly and the UK populace will not care a jot until their Xmas tangerines (actually probably clemantines or other --ines) do not arrive in volumes and their Xmas bird is in such short supply that prices are up 50% on last year.

Then when the Iceland finger food, M&S Xmas puddings and other goodies are in short supply.....

But probably by then the UK will be again in Covid lockdown and the perfect excuse will be available.
