Just felt we needed a PET thread, to show pictures and talk about our lovely pets, past and present.
I don't think we can add photos yet, but give it time.
I have 2 dogs, aged 3 years, one a chocolate lab who is adorable, a mixed lab x collie adopted from SPA who was an abandoned dog, a grey long haired cat, abandoned but very sweet 8 years old and a beast of a ginger cat called ossi who is 7. He fights with other cats 🐈
I'm looking into getting a mainekoon or Norwegian Forest cat, doing research so it won't be for a while. I've longed for one (or 2) of these for years.
Do you have pets?

Yes we do.
A 6 yr old Lab/Retriever cross who we obtained from the Dogs Trust.
A wonderful guy who will obviously not be able to reproduce.
We posted a photo of him and several people wanted their dogs to breed with him - they thought he was a working lab as opposed to a "classic" lab.
He absolutely loves the rivers in 24 and more so as we use a springy thing to throw the ball into the river for him to retrieve.
But atm we select the appropriate spots given how fast he rivers are.

Yes, we do too. Having lost lab x bc brothers Blaze and Blitz we now have just one dog; a very full on character called Frodo.
Frodo is an almost 10 year old mini smoothie dachsie who has had the pleasure of bossing us about for just over 9 years. He was bought by a Brit lady outside a supermarket along with another c.6month old mini dachsie pup (girl) from a different litter. Why oh why did she not realise this was a puppy farmer? She paid 400€ for each of them and once home realised neither was house trained. Quel surprise. So within a month both were up for rehoming and we gave a home to Napoleon. Yes she'd named them Napoleon and Josephine. But we couldn't do with that, so he got another new name.
I've had dachsies for much of my life so know the breed and their eccentricities. Just as well. Since B & B left us, he thinks he's king of the castle.
We also have 4 outdoor cats. Three were born here 9 years ago to a queen who arrived during a snowed in period and shortly after gave birth. One is quite tame and she's the bravest of the three. then there's her less confident sister and finally the brother who seems to be a sandwich short of a picnic. But they are part of of our lives and so we feed them daily. The 4th cat arrived about 3 years ago. I think she's a bit deformed behind which might include her fertility bits as she hasn't produced any litters.
Finally we have our two huge outdoor pets. I know many don't class horses as pets, but that's only because they don't live in the house! These two horses are definitely pets and just as pampered as any cats or dogs. They are now 33 and 24, so not youngsters and they're no longer ridden.

Just two here, a very lovable, very clever 4 year old Jack Russell cross. We think his other half is beagle. He came from the SPA in Périgueux just over two years ago and we can't imagine life without Spot cuddles. He's either totally active or sound asleep! He has his own Instagram page - since we came back to Scotland one of his favourite things seems to be admiring the scenery so Spot and a View seemed a good title. @spot_and_a_view
The other is Blondie the Highland pony, who came to France with us, and back again and is currently living with our daughter until we're settled.

My 2 best friends taking a break in the shade. The black boy is 5 1/2 and the fox red is now 15 months old. And, yes, that blue scoop by the door is for exactly what you think its for!
