British shops will once again be allowed to sell products in pounds and ounces after the government announced a review of the ban on using imperial units.

If they've actually got those products, to be sure.

So let's reverse 47 years of education where children, now potentially young pensioners, have been taught in metric units and not in Pounds, Ounces, Pecks and Bushels. The last of which might be 36.4 litres volume of dry goods or perhaps only 35.2 litres. The creators of Brexit muddle have not finished with their muddle yet.
A Pox on them all.

A real Brexit bonus. The Irish get to sit back and watch an English famine.

Will UK also revert to shillings and pence, temperature in Farhenheit (good old english named inventor) I have to change back my hp calculator program to divide by 5 multiply by 9 and add 32 to convert it to Celcius - easy. Which gallon is going to be used? Or quarts? I thought all the old sods who used these units were long dead and everyone settled with the metric system. All this to encourage American tourism? Seems like Boris the bottom likker is going out of his way to be an idiot.

He doesn't have to try very hard to win gold as an idiot.

A lot of the criticism is aimed at the current government and surely you can see why? This nonsense is yet another example of how the UK is being mismanaged by a bunch of incompetents led by a populist clown who can barely string two coherent sentences together.

Open your eyes. The metric system was not forced down anyone’s throat, it’s a far more logical system that’s easier to understand than the imperial system. It will of course lead to a change in the maths curriculum as it could be argued that the easy to use metric system has simplified mental calculations as working out hundreds and tenths using the decimal system is far more straightforward than dealing with quotients of twelve, fourteen and sixteen. But I suppose the intelligent masses who see Brexit bonuses around every corner are probably mathematical geniuses anyway.

Bearing in mind, you asked. Because it's being turned into a shithole by people idiotic enough to vote for the current crop of incompetents in government and to vote for Brexit, which is fair enough. That's democracy. The problem for me is England is dragging the rest of the UK down with it.

Because we poor misguided souls don't live there and don't bask in the glory that is modern England. We are jealous of those who have returned but still post on a French expat forum to make us all jealous. Step back and take a look. Many of us see the downhill slide, both in the news and from visits back there to see family, etc. We are not blind or stupid. You are pretty much the only one that comes on here to challenge our viewpoint. Like bear baiting methinks.
