You'll both need a visa.
I believe the Schengen Visa also comes into force next year.

Couldn't find the answer on a quick look, but the fact that the request for the first visa asks for photos tends to indicate that a visa is required for each person in a couple.

Bump on this if i may, i would like to apply for the visa this week, my 2 questions are.......do we both need LSV, or just 1 of us (re the spouse question) and 2, what is the renewal cost of the carte after year 1 (€235 for year 1)
As you appear to be the only person currently wishing to use this system, I guess you'll have to be the pathfinder. I imagine you will each have to have a visa, after reading some of the stuff on the link provided. I look forward to your updates 👍

I don't think you can renew them after year 1 because a LSV is only intended for a one-off visit of between 4 and 11 months. Even the student LSVs (VLS-TS) are only valid for one year, if they need to stay longer to complete studies they have to apply for a multi-annual residence permit (carte de séjour pluriannuelle)

I think it's also €225 for the renewal, according to the drop-down section 'Renouvellement de la carte' on this page: www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F302/personnalisation/resultat?lang=&quest0=2&quest1=1

I don't know for sure but visas in general are usually personal.

I got as far as filling in the application for a 'talent visa' and registered with the company they outsource to (TLSContact) and had an appointment for Wednesday past, but then i got some emails from TLS saying their passport return service was suspended do to passports going missing, and also the on site photo booth was suspended, so i cancelled the appt, i didnt fancy 2 trips up to London having to collect the passport also. Had it have been a guaranteed thing, then maybe yes, but not on the whim of someone granting or not granting one.........I will leave it a month or so, and try again when hopefully things have improved.......

So .. does this mean you are hoping to move here permanently, to set up a business here ? france-visas.gouv.fr/en_US/web/france-visas/international-talents-and-economic-attractiveness

Do you think owning a house in France would suffice- (but I think they would of specified second home owners) Make a direct economic investment ► Your situation This investment will provide you with a lasting interest in the recipient company. This includes: Investment in social capital (equity investment of over 10%, real estate investment and capital increase); Reinvested earnings (undistributed share of the operating income of the subsidiaries and other investments); Inter-affiliate loans (i.e. direct loans between investors and companies in which they have invested or a loan between companies belonging to the same group). ► Your visa You will be issued with a long-stay visa bearing the statement “passeport talent” “investisseur économique” (Skilled residence permit - Investor). In the two months following your arrival in France, you can apply for a multi-year residence permit. The maximum period of validity is four years. If the duration of your stay is less than twelve months, you will be issued with a long-stay visa equivalent to a (VLS/TS) residence permit bearing the statement “passeport talent” (with no other statement). You must validate it in the three months following your arrival in France. ► Your supporting documentation In addition to any supporting documents related to your personal situation, you must enclose with your visa application proof of your investment and documents making it possible to assess the lasting interest of the beneficiary companies.
