Nonsense. People also say that flying is dangerous. It's not. Crashing into a mountain is. I suppose that you think that you are a better driver/pilot than you actually are. I said speeding is dangerous. Have you ever seen the aftermath or consequences of it. My comment should have been a "no brainer". It is obvious surely. I'm not a pilot.

Comparing with other countries can be dangerous since
the road surface materials can be different and give better or worse road holding:
the levels of maintenance can be different;
the ability to shed water in rain can be different due to slightly different standards in camber;
the likelihood of surfaces freezing and the treatments to clear snow and ice can be very different
and so on

Speeding, or being over the speed limit, is all relative: what is in excess of the limit here in France and the UK is perfectly acceptable in Germany. If a certain speed was 'dangerous', there's not a country that would permit it, but it's perfectly possible to drive safely at 150 km/h or more, if the conditions allow it.
Go with what you said first, @grumpyish : speeding can be dangerous (my emphasis), not what you said subsequently - speeding is dangerous.
I was being polite . Speeding is dangerous. Period!

Nonsense. People also say that flying is dangerous. It's not. Crashing into a mountain is. Like vertigo, which isn't being afraid of falling but the fear of hitting the ground.
Vertigo is dizziness or feeling off balance.
Basophobia is a fear of falling (over) or not being able to stand up or walk.
Acrophobia is a fear of heights

That's me told.
I thought acrophobia was a fear of serious home DIY.
