Thanks. I'll try again tomorrow. I don't think I can spend more time on this tonight.

We've both tried for several hours now to resolve this problem.
An hour ago I gave up and tried ringing. A very helpful (non English speaking) man answere and on listening to the sage suggested he could access our account and sens us the attestations, but that would take up to a week to arrive. Our RDVs are October 20th, so unfortunately that wouldn't work.
He then said he would send by SMS two separate temporary codes which would get us in. They arrived, but then the site would not accept the SS Nos (which he had verified with me). Finally the site wouldn't accept the codes and then blocked the accounts. So heaven only knows what's going on.
The block should be lifted after 15 minutes, so I'll try again. But, if this doesn't work I don't know what I can try next other than take the original attestations and hope they'll be acceptd at the RDVs.
May as well cancel my next hairdresser appointment since I've torn most of my hair out now.

DONE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That has to be almost as bad as filing a French tax return. But we now have Ameli accounts AND I've printed off the attestations for us both. Off now to pour a very large apero!
Just photos to get now sometime before we go to Angouleme next Wednesday.

Thanks. I didn't find out what the glitch was, but I kept being told that the SS Nos were invalide. Eventually I just sat staring at the message and it disappeared and allowed me to validate ......... Very odd.

Sorry that it was so time-consuming and frustrating, but good to read that you finally got it sorted in good time for your appointment. You deserved a super-size apero!

Just one, after all that trouble, seems a bit mean, two or more!

Yes, there is an amazing sense of achievement when one manages to get the system to work after butting one’s head against a brick wall for what seems like forever. Well done for the persistence.

You must have a very piercing stare It's the same method that I use on my neighbour's Husky, to stop him chasing the car. It's only taken 6 years.....

We have just got our Rdv e-mail arrived late last week, we applied in March, our appointments are this afternoon, also at Angouleme, but we have to take passport, recent photo, and fracture less than six months old, nothing else. Veem how was it, and how was the parking, looked on google there doesn't seem to be any disabled parking bays, also my appointment is 1345 and DW 1430, didn't think it would be such a long job.

Our times were different but they did us both together - so try going in at the same time

Sorry Spectrum, I have only just seen your post and by now you'll already no doubt be at the prefecture! Still, others may like to know the following. How strange that the same prefecture should ask us for the attestation assurance maladie and you for a facture. When we were at the appointment we were asked for (in order) photo, passport and very specifically for the 'attestation assurance maladie'. If you have your RDV email copied out to show them that you were asked for a facture, it shouldn't be a problem. There were two women manning(!) the desks and both had good English. The one who dealt with us was very young and pretty and I established within a minute that she had 5 horses! I'd commented on how pretty her nails were and that she obviously didn't own horses! We felt almost old friends after that. The whole process lasted no more than 10 minutes, and I do think it would be worth asking if you can both go in together. Parking was in plentiful meter bays and though we parked 100m away, we could easily have parked immediately outside the building in Rue de la Prefecture. We were told that the CdS should arrive in under 2 months and (only when I asked) that they would be valid for 10 years. It was all very straightforward and by 3.45 we were on our way home. PS. Toilet (if needed) is in the small building opposite where the photo booth is.

Thanks Veem we got lost getting there the Sat/Nav didn't work correctly. But we found it by luck, the lady didn't speak any English to us but had long painted nails, so never been a brickie then, bit of a hiccup when it came to thumb prints the wife could only give one, so she may get a half of a residency permit.
