The TDF has a very long history and has undergone many steps in its development. I would not expect the women’s version to be be in the same state with a history of one year. I expect it to take several decades for the two events to be similar in the scope, sponsorship and perceived importance. Women cyclists are just as impressive in all categories including big stage road racing but I think it is unrealistic to expect direct equivalents to appear overnight.
I have found the official TDF app on my iPad does not show the detailed maps of each stage as it has done for many years. Is it just my equipment or is it likely to be upgraded later? I have found the detail on other sites so it has been published. This year I have a 60 mile trip to watch the middle section of one stage.

I always thought the detailed routes didn't appear until about March/April? The app will be updated.
