I hope this is the last CdS related queestion I need to ask.
Biggles wears glasses all day every day. When he had his passport renewed he had to remove his glasses for the photo. For the CdS photo should he remove them or leave them on?

No glasses; when I had my photos taken in a little kiosk the photographer said they must not be worn.

We both wore our specs .. no problem at all. After all you will most likely be wearing them whenever you need to show your cds anyway.

I assumed that the iris recognition system used at airports applied to the need for photos to be unbespectacled! I agree a CdS is more likely to be asked for when a person is wearing their glasses. I doubt anyone will ask Biggles for his CdS in the middle of the night when he's taken his glasses off.
1 -1 so far. Anyone else?

Take them off.Its definitely the case for a passport and why should it be any different.
( NB even if only for a "just in case" situation.)

How about some with and some without? Let them decide when you go for your RDV.

That seems very definitive FFS. Thank you. He'll have his glasses on then. Thanks for other replies. This forum is so very helpful.

If you must wear glasses, they cannot be sunglasses or tinted glasses, and you must make sure your eyes are not covered by the frames or any glare, reflection or shadow." I think that is open for judgement from officials. Perhaps being absolutely correct/certain one must get an attestation from an optician that one must wear glasses all the time.

I emailed our préfecture (le bureau des étrangers) and asked them .. they said it was up to me. No problem for them with or without specs. I didn't need a letter from anyone .. and it made dealing with the photo booth so much easier.
