Last night Sherlock the kitten tormented a huge house spider, then he ate it.
I found the legs dried up on the floor this afternoon. I've never known a cat to eat a spider before.
Sadly I didn't get to rescue it in time, I would have cupped it and put it outside (the spider).

Spiders, flies, butterflies - if it moves, he goes for it. Fortunately not wasps or bees, as far as I know.

He swallowed the spider to catch the fly.

It could have been worse if the spider attacked the cat. We had a cat once that got bitten by a mouse on its paw, never touched a mouse again.

Our little dog eats mice. If we let him out at night we have to keep an eye on him. He is a proper little hunter. Oh, and recently he has developed a taste for craneflies.

Looking at the forum blurry eyed this morning on my iPad I thought this thread was titled ’Cat eating spiders’ …….. I was a bit worried for a moment 🤣
