€100 that is kinda a joke.. How much was given thru the early stages of the pandemic when you could not drive and get your coffee and pain a raisen? US citizens and some non citizens received around $3000 in 1 1/2 years and some states are still giving checks out.

I think you will find that many who were adversely affected by the pandemic have also received significant sums. This payment - as the title suggests - is to help protect the most vulnerable from inflation - a new pandemic. I think the joke may be on you.

Is this a cash payment deposited into the poor persons bank account, check or debit card?? Or just a €100 tax reduction on take home pay?

Cutting the tva would have been better. Almost half your EDF bill is taxes.

Cutting the tva would have been better. Almost half your EDF bill is taxes. The thing about fuel prices is that they impact on most things in your life. Increased fuel prices increase the costs to the farmer of cropping his fields; increase the cost of delivery of the crop to a market or processing centre; increase the cost of delivery to the supermarket. And all those increases mean the food on the shelf costs more.

Can someone tell me why when fuel was at around 35 dollers a barrel prices still went up and nothing was said. Pandemic excuses are wearing thin.

Cutting the tva would have been better. Almost half your EDF bill is taxes. Possibly in cities but that's certainly not the case in rural France. Agreed that cutting the greedy 60% tax on fuel would have been more help and a lot simpler to administer, but Castex said that the Gov can't afford it. Agree also about the taxes on electricity bills. Taxing the taxes is a breathtaking feat of ingenuity worthy of IDS!
