I've just enabled the Quick Reply option, which will show a reply typing field at the bottom of each thread, where you can reply without leaving the page - see image below:
An additional advantage for any Grammarly users is that Grammarly seems to work in the Quick Reply box even if it doesn't in the normal Reply box.

I have added a plugin that allows members to style their replies in the Quick Reply box, though what you will see when you apply the style is the code needed to produce those effects, not their ultimate appearance. For example:
[b]code[/b]
produces code in the posted reply.

Oh Vienna.... Oups, sorry....drifted for a moment there  It means smiley addicts can still use them in a quick reply, but they'll see the code for the smiley in their reply, not the actual smiley, until it's posted.
