Inspired by the "beans served by a Swedish nun" thread ...
Why are the big brands (HP, Daddies) so vinegary? Is it because they're not really intended for use as a ketchup?
The good news is that Stokes is quite pleasant, but the Tiptree one is absolutely delicious (though poured on egg on beans on toast, maybe would lack the necessary acidity).

Maybe my taste buds have changed but I think HP sauce has become more vinegary since they moved production to Holland.

I would rather something sweeter Strokes can very enjoyable but better with oil. They can also be naughty.
