I'm really hoping he's not going to make us stay in Brexitland for Christmas, we are hoping to travel to France on 18 Dec, we are both double vaxed and boostered up, so hopefully that will count for something........
Fingers crossed

According to the agenda for the Elysée, tomorrow Macron will be in Croatia then Italy and Jean Castex is in isolation after testing positive for Covid, and if anyone's going to be addressing the nation I think it will be Olivier Véran.

Does he have to be in France to record a speech and release it to the broadcasters? It not like it is a press conference and even if it was, the press are with him on his excursion.

I hope that you get there, Johnny. Have I got it right that the PS has to show 3 jabs from 15th December? Of course, you might not be planning visiting restaurants etc.
A friend has sent me this:
”A government spokesman, just announced the government's acknowledgment of a sudden spike in Covid cases, a 5th wave they have called it.
The announcement outlines what steps will be taken:
1. mask wearing required indoors and outdoors
2. additional effort to vaccinate everyone (currently 88%j of the country is vaccinated)
3. enhanced monitoring and use of the pass sanitaire. This effectively further restricts movement and some access for those not vaccinated.
And these steps which will not be taken:
1. no closures of any kind
2. no reinstatement of curfews.
3. no additional restrictions (effectively for the vaccinated).
Hospital ICUs are currently at 29%. If this number rises significantly, all of the above could change.

What’s the situ with you? Are you still hoping to travel back in a few days?

So, as I was probably the only one watching and to complement what I have already posted
Reduction to 5 months from second dose for the access to third dose
Third dose open to everyone over 18 from Saturday (doctorlib already saturated)
Pass sanitaire deactivated 7 months after second dose for over 18s from 15 January
Mask wearing compulsory inside everywhere including places where you need a pass sanitaire

Thanks for that, so no change to any travel arrangements in or out of France then? I would have said if there was any change. No intentions currently to restrict movements, operate curfews or lockdowns. It's in our hands.

Mask wearing compulsory inside everywhere including places where you need a pass sanitaire Does that extend to the workplace LPT?
I don't think it will actually change anything for me, other than friends houses every indoor place I went to mask wearing was obligatory, the workplace apart is it actually a tightening of regulations or a reminder/crackdown? .
It will give me the shove to have the booster vaccination that otherwise I would not have.
I would normally have watched the allocution but am in the UK and cannot access French TV, thankyou for the summary
