Cannot be classics, my sister who always has the worst choice in cars owned both the original Micra and a Sierra ! I was always the one who got the call to pick her up when the cars broke down, when she sold them she got absolutely nothing for them !

There is a great deal more to 'classic' status than age or exemption from MOT and road tax!

I own an interesting pre-war car. One of the reasons that I bought it was it seemed such good value to me as it was cheaper than the awful 1970s cars that I saw advertised when I was looking. Cars that were awful when they were new let alone when they were 45 years past their best.

If you look at the opening link if you would like to pick up an Austin Ambassador there are still 21 around out of over 40000 built. That is sad to think that someone somewhere is driving one.

The Ambassador is a model that didn't ring a bell with me until I Googled it. Just a tarted up Princess with a hatch on the back. My BLMC guru back in the day said he wouldn't have a Princess as a gift. The only car he had ever driven that he had trouble parking. Unless you are 6ft+ tall the driver can't see any of the four corners well enough to park it in a tight space.
