Is there not a thread already on this? I do not immediately see one...
I sort of understand what is being said, but wonder if it will work. Situation:
- My second shot was May 14.
- I turn up for booster November 19 (the then six month wait)
- I am honest on the form and say I tested positive on a PCR on August 12.
- Procedure halted as a booster cannot be given within six months of a positive test (??) so books me in for February 13
- Arghh - what do I do come Dec 15???
- It is ok, you get a 'dispensation' QR code from doctor who gets it off the SEPID portal, this allows resto access up to Feb 12.
- BUT, today, my doctor after calling someone says 'No'. I now wait 5 months (it changed from six months) and get my booster January 13. In the meantime, the existing QR code on my passe sanitaire will automatically recognise this and from Dec 15 through to Jan 12 will allow me access to everything.
It is the bit in Italics that I worry about - I have always been very impressed with France's joined up medical IT and in theory can see why my existing QR code 'could' recognise me as having loads of anti-bodies for the six months after my positive test, but the cynic in me says 'nah', the system cannot be THAT joined up.....or, can it?
I will post the answer back on December 16.... I will be very impressed if it all happens as promised
Now. Interesting: I ask Doc what would have happened if I had ignored the question on the booster form, said no and continued to have the booster. He replied that I might have felt poorly as I would have then had an overdose of anti-bodies in my system. He continued that in an ideal world, each booster should be preceded with an anti-body test, as he believes those that have a reaction to a booster have already been exposed to Covid... as I say, interesting, but I find anything to do with the magical world of medical science interesting
