Replaced my ride-on battery yesterday, been running with a Kn***** one for a year or so, prices at agri stores and Brico were about 60/80€ but came across this site "Battery Set" very good service, quick delivery, packaged really well, delivered to house for 43€ Sealed lead acid, but you could have Gel or Lithium if you purse will stretch that far, just a happy customer.

It's always nice to have tips on where to get good prices on things. Certainly pays to shop around. I learned may years ago the last place to buy a battery or a drive belt is from a motoculture shop. Online sources, half the price or less even with P&P on top. Just let Google find the best price and be patient.

I get my car, tractor, moto & motoculture batteries from a very local & friendly little garage/discount car parts place. Phone 'em in the morning & it's there the next day. Usually Varta stuff at excellent prices.

On a recent post, I actually recommended our local motoculture for batteries and belts, when I arrived in France last week I noticed I didn't have a spare drive belt, so I went in to check on prices and they wanted €49 plus TVA, I went online and bought one from Motoculture-distri-piece.fr with delivery by DHL to the door all for €19.58, no-brainer (delivery was €6.50 of that). So I have changed my mind.

That is the most important point. You need to keep updating your research. Prices shoot up without you noticing. It's all very well supporting your local shops if you have plenty of cash to splash but if you have to live within a fixed low income it pays to shop around, particularly online. I have just finished searching every page that Google suggested for sources of chimney flue supplies. Looking for a 45 degree stainless elbow. Prices found ranged from €11.81 to €48 for the same branded part!
