It certainly looked as if he was going to be found guilty. Was he in fact a former MP? The news story just described him as a former councillor, not that it matters anymore.

Im not sure on this one you would have to be a complete nut job to drive over your wife at the best of times but over the TV.

You should be carefull saying that in the public domain before the judgement is made.
OTOH I hope the knowledge that you have is also known to the prosecution.
Actually on reflection you have chosen your words wisely, the DM reported what is alleged, it is a true report of the proceedings to date.
Whatever happened to the Brit gîte owner who buried his wife under a concrete slab?
Editted, I had not registered in the title that he has been found guilty and sentenced, the DM report I had read earlier was before the judgement.

What's the inside knowledge you have, motm? I'm not sure I can say because it may affect someone I love dearly.

The case has been ongoing since 2017, newspapers in UK have the story but say he's charged. Today he was found guilty.

Thanks, I read the link after your title finally got through to me, it was the article I had read so I deduced he must have been sentenced today.

Bizarre comment
‘ Obviously awful, but why link it to him having been a Tory? Oh yes, I know, the MSM are out for tory blood. Hope they remember what they did to bring down Boris and we get some other idiotic labour elected ‘
What else is to be expected?

The do say the wheels of justice grind 'exceeding slow' in France!
I lived in Prayssac when this took place, the couple were fairly recent arrivals so I didn't know them but do know where they lived.
Does time on remand count towards the sentence I wonder?
