Thank you everyone, it really is a relief to be back here and with our younger son just around the corner to ferry supplies, such as my husband’s medical stuff etc, it couldn't be better! I went for a little wander in the garden earlier, saw and heard plenty of birds. We've had flower deliveries this morning and I’ve ordered a John Lewis tree to be delivered tomorrow, artificial, of course, but small enough for me to cope with to put up and decorate - Christmas is definitely going to happen here, just a bit low-key, as it will be for so many 🎄

So glad to see you're home and safe. Well done Gigi. It must have been very stressful. Merry Christmas.

I’ve received a negative PCR test result this morning, so can now leave the house.
But as it's damp and grey, my knee is painful, our son stocked up our fridge, the freezer is pretty full and we’re continuing to self-isolate, I’ll be staying cosily indoors. There’s a tree to decorate, cards to write, presents to wrap and books to read so I’ll be perfectly content.

It's good to know you feel content again Gigi. Absolutely stay in, stay cosy and enjoy the absence of frenzy.

As Veem said .. I would just add now is the time to de-stress and also congratulate yourself on having got your husband back home safely .. no mean feat in these challenging times.
Enjoy a lovely Christmas with your family.
