When I had my allotment in the UK I had great results from over-wintering (Japanese) onion sets. They suited our crop rotation schedule well because of the earlier harvest.
However, they don't seem to be available in France (or not that I've found so far anyway). Has anyone else found them or should I give up and use "normal" ones?
Perhaps they don't work so well here, although the climate in Manche isn't all that different from the UK....
I'd appreciate hearing about anyone else's experience in this area. I know there are some very successful onion growers on here!
