Perhaps he should change his name to Novax. Brilliant tennis player just a pity he doesn't let his tennis do the talking. Kick him out Scott.

Disgraceful and total arrogance. What is so special about a Serbian wanting to enter a country against their tight rules? Ok, so he can hold a bat thing and hit a ball. So can a lot of other people who are happy to obey the laws of a land they are visiting. In my opinion, Scott Morrison is being far to polite. Me? I'd have him onto the next aircraft out, regardless of where it was going.

Apparently he has appealed and is in a down-market hotel isolation facility. Complaining about it and not being able to practice tennis.
Serves him right (sorry about that pun)

Love all the tennis jokes! I think it’s a racket, especially when you read between the lines.

As Nadal has commented, Djokovic knew the rules had changed but made his choice to travel regardless: he's neither vaccinated nor exempt, and whatever his world standing as a player, he should not be exceptionally treated.

Covid doesn't know he's a 'special' world-class athlete. To Covid he's just any old human it can infect and use to spread further infection. I was a fan, but am not any more. He's arrogant, self-centred and self-important with no thought for others.

But he is being exceptionally treated as are all international sports players, how many of the rest of us can visit Australia?
The public and business world treat them like they are gods because of a talent that whilst admirable really should not have such a pound/dollar/whatever value & some end up believing it.
This is probably where I learn that Australia has already opened its borders again to the travelling public.

He should really play the game but seems set against the regulations and has met his match.
