He will appeal. Too much money and personal ambition involved.
If he does play it will be interesting to watch the spectators' reactions.

I've always enjoyed watching Novak play in competition matches, he really is the best male player for now.
However, totally agree with Australia. It's his choice not to be vaccinated, but if he can't play Melbourne, Wimbledon, Queens or any other then he chose that to be.
All it takes is vaccination

I know you have to being single minded to get to the top but this is sheer arrogance and I hope he is kicked out. Serbia has one of the lowest vaccination rates in Europe and he could have set a brilliant example by getting jabbed but his current behaviour is more likely to dissuade his fellow countrymen and women to have the vaccine.

Whatever the outcome of the Australian thing, guaranteed that Novax will lose a load of sponsors.

What, is he still in Australia? I thought he would be on a plane somewhere over the Pacific with a one way ticket watching the tsunami! ( Yes, I know that is the scenic route but he can afford it. By the way, who pays the air fare to get rid of him.

It now appears he always had the option of 14 days quarantine instead of vaccination.

Underneath it all, he is a peasant devoid of any manners. Someone in his position, who wants to visit a country for their own glory, should be respectful of the rules of that country.

'Peasant' might be going a bit far, and to be fair he thought he was being respectful of the rules by the efforts he took beforehand, to get an exemption, for example. That said, a simple vaccination would have been so much better and would have sent a big message to his compatriots.

For me, the skill if you are at the top of your game and world famous is knowing how to behave with that reputation, a lot of young people are looking to you for direction and guidance and that is more important than just thinking about your own career and what you want to do, he has totally failed in this in my opinion, it will not go down in history in his favour me thinks..........

That said, a simple vaccination would have been so much better and would have sent a big message to his compatriots. I agree peasant might be a bit strong and equally disrespectful to all the paysannes around here. AS I see it there are two scenarios. 1. He never had Covid in December, his so called positive test has been faked and everything else is a sham. He therefore is not allowed into Australia without 14 days quarantine. This however does explain his subsequent behaviour and actions. 2. He did suffer a bout of Covid in December. He was reckless in meeting with young tennis players a day later even if he did not have a result. [Ask yourself why have a PCR test unless you suspect that you are positive.] He was dangerously negligent and in breach of Serbian regulations in keeping his appointment with L'Equipe when he knew without doubt that he had been tested positive. He broke Spain's Covid rules by travelling there and not declaring the recent infection - which I think would have barred him from entry. He falsely reported his travel to the Australian authorities when he arrived by failing to mention that he had been to Spain (I know he blames his team for "forgetting" to mention it but he alone is responsible for the declarations made no matter who helps him with them.)* There is a further point - where Novax may claim he has been misled - but WTF were the Australian Tennis Authorities doing in granting exemptions for entry to Australia? Having been told in clear and precise wording that previous infection was not a reason to allow an exemption for entry to Australia, they grant them on that basis anyway. They cannot be held without blame nor indeed can anyone who has allowed them to be in a position to grant exemptions. So what next? Alcoholics Anonymous issue vaccine exemptions so that their members can attend a meeting in the UK? * Edit to add that having given false declaration he would be disbarred from entry.
